Super Show 3 Tickets 90% Sold Out in Malaysia

Super Junior is at it again! Proving their popularity overseas by selling out 90% of the 9,500 seats in four hours.

On February 19, on the same day as Super Junior's "Super Show 3" Japan stop, the sixth floor of the Sungei Wang Plaza saw 2,000 fans lining up to purchase tickets for the Malaysia concert. Though fans were not allowed to line up overnight, fans found ways around restriction. Even into their hotel, fans began staking their territory around 10 AM on February 18.

Tickets for the event were intended to begin selling at 10 AM. However, the presence of 2,000 fans from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore bumped up the starting time to 9:45 AM. The most expensive tickets, selling at 486 RM (approximately 160 USD), were the first to go. 1,400 tickets were sold within the hour.

Some fans who were lucky enough to purchase front-row tickets expressed their joy by crying. Unfortunately for those who were unable to purchase a ticket during the pre-sale, the event organizers emphasized that additional concert sessions would not be available.

Will KBS produce a second season of “Dream High”?

Could fans expect a second season of KBS’s “Dream High” next year?

The drama’s met with soaring popularity ever since it first began airing on January 3rd, and has managed to rank first in viewer ratings each week. Due to the success of the series, fans of the drama have been wondering for some time now whether a second season is in the works.

A representative of KBS’s drama team revealed, “Ever since we began our ‘School‘ series in 1999, other dramas such as ‘Boys Over Flowers‘, ‘God of Study‘, and now ‘Dream High’ have all achieved positive reviews. As a broadcast network, we’re determined to maintain the teenage drama genre, so we do have production plans for a drama that is akin to season two of ‘Dream High’ next year.”

The drama’s production company, Hollim & CJ Media, also revealed similar plans. A representative commented, “We’ve garnered successful production experience through ‘Dream High’, so our stance on producing a second season is positive. However, this is an issue that must be discussed right from the start only after ‘Dream High’ ends. Even if we create another drama similar to ‘Dream High’, we’re doubtful as to whether we will name it ‘Dream High’ again.”

Taecyeon and Eunjung are shocked over their ‘Dream High’ characters’ ages

2PM’s Taecyeon and T-ara’s Eunjung were shocked over their ‘Dream High‘ characters’ ages.

On February 20th, Eunjung revealed pictures of Taecyeon’s and Eunjung’s character profiles. Although both Taecyeon and Eunjung were born in 1988, their characters’ birth years were set to 1993 and 1994 respectively. Eunjung tweeted,

“kekekekeke it says that Taecyeon is born in ‘93 keke and I was born in ‘94 keke thank you ♥“

Fans commented, “That expression kekeke looks so excited~~~ So cute!!!” “Why hide your face ^^~haha” and “She’s one year younger than Jiyeon ^^”

Prior to these pictures, Eunjung also retweeted photos of herself and Taecyeon pretending to be a part of the production staff. Check out all the pictures below!

How will KBS and MBC deal with Big Bang’s comeback?

Fans are wondering if Big Bang will appear on KBS’s ‘Music Bank’ and MBC’s ‘Show Music Core’ for their comeback stage, as YG Entertainment artists have been currently avoiding KBS and MBC shows. It’s been especially difficult to spot 2NE1 and Big Bang on either of those two music programs.

“It’s disappointing,” said YGE. The agency called their ‘negative relationship’ with MBC and KBS “a base-less rumor” and asserted, “YG artists will appear on MBC and KBS shows when a good opportunity arises.”

Yet SBS will host Big Bang’s first comeback stage on February 27th by airing a one-hour ‘Big Bang Comeback Show Special’. This is making KBS and MBC particularly nervous because Big Bang’s comeback is being lauded as this year’s hottest event, and so a high viewership rating is guaranteed for SBS.

Rumor has it that SBS will not only host a one-hour special show (its first since Seo Tae Ji’s comeback a few years back), but they also promised the best performance stage. It’s been said that SBS has promised a shocking investment for Big Bang’s comeback stage, which includes the best audio system to a fancy stage construction.

Missing out on Big Bang’s comeback could be especially disappointing to MBC and KBS because Big Bang plans to release numerous albums this year, and will even pick up their activities in Japan.

Although YG Entertainment has asserted that they will perform for MBC and KBS eventually, fans will just have to wait and see as to whether or not Big Bang will perform on the stages of “Music Bank” and “Show Music Core” when they return.
