Super Junior leader Leeteuk rose to dangerous levels on comments for miss A’s Suzy during KBS 2FM’s “Kiss the Radio.”
Initially, the program was supposed to have DJ Eunhyuk there but was temporarily replaced by SHINee member Key. Special guests of Kan Mi Youn and miss A’s Fei and Jia were there to join in on the radio session.
Leeteuk had asked Fei and Jia, “When is miss A’s next comeback?” and the girls answered, “It’s in the works.” He continued on saying, “KBS2’s drama is coming to an end as well” then suddenly switching gears to stating, “Suzy needs to lose a little weight.”
This unexpected remark left Jia and Fei looking a little static, but turned to him and said, “Don’t do that.” But he showed his dismay. Kan Mi Youn also said that it’s, “Quite dangerous talk.” Leeteuk said back, “It was just a joke!” smiled, and went back to the progression of the show unknowing how many netizens he had offended.
Exploding from anger, netizens defended Suzy by stating,“That joke crossed the line by more than a few degrees,” “Do you even know how much that could hurt Suzy?” “You’re telling a girl to lose weight now?”
