Korea's 'Best and Worst' Singers Categorized by Vocal Trainers

In a recent survey conducted by a local Korean newspaper, ten vocal trainers ranked idols and idol groups based on how well they sing. JYJ's Junsu ranked 1st as the best singer out of all the Korean idol group members.

Junsu ranked 1st in the best singer category, while SNSD's Taeyeon tied with SISTAR's Hyorin for the 2nd spot.

Meanwhile, in the category for best group, 2AM ranked 1st, while Big Bang took the second spot.

Although KARA has been gaining tremendous popularity in Japan, the group was selected as the worst singing group. After School then placed 2nd in this category.

Wonder Girls' Sohee was picked as the worst singer, with KARA's Goo Hara in 2nd place. The vocal trainers made a unanimous decision that Hara has the pretty looks, but other than that they could not settle for anything else.

A figure from the music industry stated, “Non-idol groups are losing their place in the K-pop industry, and even if they do, they are separated from the idol groups like water and oil”.

He continued, “Music programs, which are a great means to introduce Korean songs, are no longer a place for those solely committed to singing”.

Do you agree with the vocal trainers?
