110309 SM Entertainment Files a Lawsuit in Support of S.M. The Ballad

SM Entertainment has filed a lawsuit against the unfair judgment which deemed S.M. The Ballad’s album as ‘inappropriate for youths’.

According to the Seoul Administrative Court, SM Entertainment filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Gender, Equality, & Family, stating, ”We cannot accept the judgment which was made with imprecise standards.”

The Ministry of Gender, Equality, & Family deemed S.M. The Ballad’s track, “Another Day“, as inappropriate for anyone under legal age due to the lyrics’ references to alcohol (“Drunk on alcohol so that I don’t miss you” and “If you fall asleep drunk, you dream“).

Yet representatives of SM Entertainment are claiming this judgment to be ridiculous. One particular representative expressed their opinion to Star News, saying “We don’t understand why they would flag it for inappropriate content based on references to alcohol. They didn’t consider the charm of the song as a whole. Judging by specific words impedes the writers’ freedom of expression.”

Last November, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, SHINee’s Jonghyun, TRAX’s Jay and Jino worked together for a project group named ‘S.M. The Ballad’. However, since the album was deemed as inappropriate for youths, fans under 19 years old was unable to purchase the album.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk expresses his love for SME on “Strong Heart”

On March 8th, Super Junior’s Leeteuk guested on SBS’s “Strong Heart“, and expressed an unusual reaction to a story shared by actress Nam Gyuri.

Nam Gyuri had revealed that she randomly met both the CEO of YG Entertainment and SM Entertainment at a coffee shop prior to her debut. She had approached them with her profiles, and asked for an audition with their respective agencies.

She explained, “I sang for Yang Hyun Suk, but his response was lackluster. Then I said that I’d show him a dance, and he took me to a rehearsal room in the basement. After seeing me dance, he accepted me as a trainee.”

When asked by MC Kang Ho Dong whether she was contacted by SM Entertainment, Nam Gyuri hesitated before answering, “I wanted to go to YG more.”

Leeteuk then turned to the camera and created a heart with his arms while cheering, “I’m only for SM. I’ve never even thought of going anywhere else. I plan on burying my bones in this agency!”

Actress Park Han Byul, who is the first actress YG Entertainment took on, added, “I was scouted on the streets and began my trainee life shortly after. I originally prepared to debut as a singer with Yang Hyun Suk’s wife, Lee Eun Ju, but he saw me dance and said I’d do better as an actress than a singer.”

FYI no BASHING ~~~! SERIOUSLY, I’m not gonna lie some of your comments on previous posts are way too harsh, even the comments on youtube ~~! My opninion is that YES it was not so bloody smart to throw an LED fanboard on stage, but she did not mean for it to hit his face ~! What has happened has happened, & I’m sure if she could take it back she would… But she can’t she’s already feeling guilty, already said SORRY.. Heechul already forgave her, & now other ELFs know not to do this again… so PLEASE just let it go… – uksujusid

There was a girl who asked me why I didn’t immediately come out and apologize, I’m sorry, at that time I was already stunned (or maybe I’m *brain damaged in the first place). Walking around the streets, I cried sometime, couldn’t hail a taxi, I walked really far and found a webcafe, and wrote my apology. I know everybody will still not forgive me, everybody please do scold me!!

Although my intention wasn’t there, it has still happened, I know everybody will not forgive me, know I have not only tarnished China, but also shamed the fans, and harmed the person whom I most not want to hurt in my life. If I could choose, I would rather not have seen Heechul in my life, and thus would not have went to a place with him and harm him the way I did!!!
